The People vs. Huda Kattan is a community demanding accountability for Huda Kattan’s false, insulting, callous, harmful, and inflammatory statements—conveyed by default through her brand, Huda Beauty. Under our first amendment rights and within a legal framework we call for :

Sephora and other partners to align with ethical standards or face a consumer boycott.
Public exposure of her statements and consumer education so people can decide whether Huda’s values align with their own.
A review under UAE law—specifically Federal Decree‑Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes—and, if breached, pursuit of full legal action.

Sephora and other retailers should refrain from providing a platform to, or deriving financial benefit from, individuals whose public statements are alleged to excuse, minimize, or tacitly endorse mass atrocities or to disseminate malicious falsehoods; retailers are encouraged to conduct appropriate due diligence and to adopt policies that address such risks.

Sephora Collaboration & Boycott

We hereby submit a consolidated petition to Sephora demanding an immediate review of its commercial relationship with Huda Beauty in light of recent unethical and inflammatory public statements attributed to Huda Kattan that undermine and harm the rights and dignity of vulnerable communities. We request that Sephora disclose any due diligence conducted, suspend promotional partnerships pending an independent investigation, and adopt clear corrective measures should the findings confirm complicity or failure to act. If Sephora does not meaningfully address these concerns and engage in good‑faith remediation, we will organize and pursue coordinated consumer actions, including a public boycott of both Sephora and Huda Beauty, until accountability is achieved.

UAE Speech Laws

Huda Kattan lives in and has incorporated Huda Beauty in the UAE. Although she holds American citizenship, she is a UAE resident and not protected by the U.S. First Amendment. The UAE enforces different speech laws than the United States, and we intend to conduct a full investigation.
